The standard Ezi-mix gun has been in use for nearly 15 years and has proved itself as a reliable low maintenance applicator head for the dosing of two components together with disposable static mixers. The EziMix+ was developed to meet customer requests to be able to open the A and B components independently. The Ezi mix has always had two independent pistons for opening the two sides of the gun however when using adhesives of differing viscosities and ratios there has always remained the risk that due to the material back pressures they do not open simultaneously which can result in poor mix ratio at the instant the gun is opened. The Ezi-Mix+ has an additional piston that remains engaged and locks the two sides of the gun together when in normal operation ensuring that both sides of the gun open simultaneously, however when the client wishes to purge just one side such as the A component the piston disengages allowing it to be opened independently.
