Compact systems for high ouput application of water based adhesives such as PVA, EVA, Phenolics and Polyurethanes.
In this system the adhesive is applied using knife over roller coating technology. The machine is robust and simple to maintain, designed to cope with the high volume 24/7 production demands of the automotive industry, The complete solution consists of a membrane transfer pump to take the adhesive for the adhesive suppliers IBC (industrial bulk container) to a local day tank which recirculates the adhesive to prevent skinning or settling of the solids in the adhesive. The adhesive is then automatically pumped to the roller coater using laser level control. The operator loads the material to be coated on the infeed conveyor (in this case paper honeycomb), when the exit conveyor is free of material the rollers rotate feeding the material to the end of the outfeed roller where a sesnor stops both the rollers. The exit conveyor using Staineless steel discs submerged in water as the material is coated both sides.
